Bharatpedia is hosted in Mumbai by the Bharatmedia Foundation. This policy covers gifts made on this donation site. It is not a Wikimedia Foundation policy, and it is not tax advice.

Who receives the gift

A payment from this page is a voluntary gift towards hosting Bharatpedia. The UPI id is ipshitaa7-2@okaxis and the payee name sent with the request is Bharatpedia. It does not buy an article, an account, or editorial control.

India only, by UPI

This form accepts a one-time UPI payment in Indian rupees. It does not create a UPI mandate or a monthly debit. It does not take cards, cheques, stock, or cash.

Foreign contribution

The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 regulates gifts from a foreign source. Those gifts need FCRA registration or prior permission, and they must be received in the designated State Bank of India account. Bharatpedia does not publish an FCRA registration number. Do not use this UPI id for a gift from outside India.

Income tax

Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 allows a deduction only where the institution has a valid approval and issues Form 10BE. Bharatpedia does not publish an 80G approval number and does not issue Form 10BE from this page. Do not claim this gift as an 80G deduction unless you later receive that certificate. Cash donations above ₹2,000 are outside 80G in any case. This page does not accept cash.

Personal data

The name in the UPI note is optional. It is used only to identify the payment. Bharatpedia does not sell donor details. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies to digital personal data processed in India. The encyclopedia privacy policy is at Bharatpedia:Privacy policy. Your bank and UPI app keep their own records under their rules.

Mistaken payments

Email [email protected] with the date, amount, UPI app, and reference number. Do not send a PIN or a full account number. A return, if agreed, is sent back on UPI. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 covers goods and services. A voluntary gift is not an online purchase.
